The Master of Environment is an interdisciplinary program focusing on basic and applied research, dealing with the complex relationships among the environment, earth, natural resources, and society at large. The program is interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary, allowing students to take courses in, and work with researchers from a number of departments within the University. The Master of Environment was created to facilitate research that incorporates or explicitly speaks to human beings as part of living landscapes. Participants have a wide range of backgrounds and generally incorporate at least two of the biological, physical, and social sciences in their research in remote, rural, or urban regions.
