The program is designed to strengthen the students' understanding of the concepts in Physics and its applications. The course work for this program reflects the current research areas of the department, namely Environmental Physics, Photonics, and Materials Science.
Under the guidance of their advisers, students have the opportunity to specialize in their field of interest through their courses and research. The MS Physics program consists of 27 units of course work and six units of thesis research and writing.
